A Case for Holding / yarn holder & small project bag
New ones coming in week 44 or 45.
This is our top seller... we are selling out before we can make new ones at the moment, but new ones are absolutely coming! If they are all sold out, it's only a matter of time before there are new ones added. Please mail me if you want to be noticed when new ones arrive.
At Ja, Wol we endeavour to support local and handmade products. We stock some of the finest locally, handmade tools and notions in an effort to promote high quality artistry in Rotterdam and The Netherlands and to reduce our environmental footprint.
Evelyne, from 'Beleef Je Verbeelding' (Experience Your Imagination), designs and makes beautiful leather bags. Ja, Wol asked her to custom design these needle cases and pouches. To see Evelyne's other designs, please also see 'A Case for Carrying', 'A Case for Carrying XL' and 'A Case for Gathering'.
A CASE FOR HOLDING: A case for holding your yarn cake while knitting. The leather and the pull string wil hold the ball in place, pull the yarn from the center of the ball and you can knit while it stays protected from dust bunnies under the couch or falling apart as some balls do. Hang it from your belt/pants and you can knit while walking, standing. This pouch can hold a small (sock) project as well. Great for socks!
Use it as a yarn bowl, hang it where you want, it's there to protect your yarn with class and style!
It doubles as a yarn bowl. Fold down half of the pouch and sit it on the table. It keeps your yarn in place while you knit.
The cases are handmade with thick durable leather so needles won't poke through them. They are all one-of-a-kind (once a colour is gone, it's gone!). Evelyne uses left overs from larger industries for her bag making, for our collab she uses offcuts of them so nothing is wasted. Each case is made with a different type of leather so some are a little shiny, while others are suede. All types have little scratches and marks, which is part of the charm of using a natural product. Please also remember that colours can sometimes be hard to judge on a screen.
They are multipurpose and practical, and ~above all~ beautiful and luxurious.
Leather improves with age - take care of it and it will last a lifetime.
Just one more thing...
They make great presents!
