#91 - A Year in Business and Craft; my Tools for Reflection

Hi friends! This episode is all about reflection, creativity, and intentional living—three things that have shaped my year in profound ways. I’ve leaned on tools like bullet journalinglong-form journaling, and the Year Compass to help me look back on 2024 and set a meaningful course for 2025. These practices help me answer the big questions: What went well? What didn’t? And, most importantly, what do I want to carry forward?

One big theme for me this year has been tackling self-doubt. There were moments when I questioned whether I was doing enough or being “successful” in the conventional sense. But as I reflected, I realized that my version of success doesn’t look like flashy metrics—it’s about building a genuine, values-driven community. And guess what? That’s exactly what we’ve done together.

Crafting has been my creative escape and a form of therapy. I’ve poured so much love into sewing custom-fit clothes, learning flax spinning, and even dabbling in quilting. These projects have been a way for me to rest while still feeling purposeful—a little win-win for my soul. (I really need to train AI to be less dramatic... lol)

Looking ahead, I’m excited to share that I’ll be attempting (...) my second "no-buy year" in 2025. The goal isn’t deprivation; it’s about slowing down, appreciating what I already have, and challenging myself to consume more mindfully. Imagine all the creativity and problem-solving that can come from rethinking what we “need”!

On the business side, I’m focusing on deepening and refining what I’ve already built. No more chasing shiny new things; instead, I want to pour energy into making what’s here even better.

This episode is a mix of heart and practicality. I hope it inspires you to reflect on your own journey, try out some creative outlets, and maybe even join me in living more intentionally in the coming year. Let’s do this together, with curiosity, kindness, and a little playfulness.
