"The Anti Beige collective supports dopamine dressing for all ages, genders and backgrounds and believes in the power of colour to support joy and inclusivity."
The idea to start this collective spontaneously arose in a coaching session with a group of yarn dyers. We were talking about a mix of things. The state of the world, our love for colour and the tendency towards neutrals and beiges in fashion, interior design, and that what we actually need right now is some colour in our lives.
So instead of following the trend we do what we always do, we look to our values and needs, added a sense of humor and sprinkled some punk glitter on top. 🤘
We came up with this fun idea to start some movement towards joy through colour in our lives and as it happens, this coincides with our view of inclusivity.
⚠️ WARNING FOR BEIGE LOVERS: If your room, baby, mini dog and body is clad with beige, brown and neutrals, it might be smart to start micro-dosing. Perhaps eat a banana and take a selfie. If that feels good, move onto standing next to a dopamine dresser for 5 minutes and journal about your emotions. Does it make you feel worse, take a step back. Better? move on to socks with a tad of colour. We love for you to come over to the colourful side but we don't want you to get hurt! Take. Small. Steps.
